methodology

The programme will use a series of five learning cycles each starting with a practical task designed to provide a concrete experience in problem solving. In the review session which follows, the group will be encouraged to examine the process by which the task was (or was not) achieved.

These observations are then used as a spring-board for discussing management principles and concepts. Finally, with the benefit of both experience and fresh ideas the group undertakes a further exercise, again designed to highlight the particular process under review. At all stages parallels are drawn between these processes and the group's own experiences at work.

"Actors play an important part in this programme, bringing the exercises to life and providing valuable opportunities for developing interpersonal skills."
