Zurich Insurance

We began our relationship with Zurich Insurance by working with the senior leadership team. This gave us a tremendous opportunity to fully understand the vision and direction of the business. Specifically we were asked, on this first assignment, to contribute to the 2014 Leadership Team Conference in Miami. This event brought together 140 of the most senior members of the company's global leadership team. Our input to this event involved the design and facilitation of Forum Theatre workshops, spread across the three-day event, acting as a ‘golden thread’, linking together the conference themes.

Case Study: Leadership & Team Development

For several years, we have supported our clients senior and future leadership programmes by designing and delivering high-impact team building and leadership development modules. These face-to-face sessions are part of a broader, biannual leadership journey.

Each programme iteration evolves based on feedback from previous cohorts and alignment with the strategic business goals. This responsive and collaborative process ensures that every session remains fresh, relevant, and cohesive.

Our challenge came as the next programme cycle approached and required a refreshed four-day module that would seamlessly integrate with surrounding programme content, reflect the latest strategic objectives, and enhance the leadership journey for participants.

We worked closely with our client and its wider programme providers to co-design a four-day, in-person module hosted in Europe. This collaborative design process focused on alignment, continuity, and practical relevance. Key elements included:

  • Outdoor experiential learning to build team dynamics and personal resilience
  • Forum Theatre, with updated scripts reflecting content from both previous and upcoming modules, used to explore complex workplace scenarios
  • Facilitated discussions to deepen reflection and connect learning with real business challenges
  • Guest speakers from within Zurich to provide contextual insights and foster business connection
  • Networking opportunities to encourage relationship-building across regions and roles

We ensured the activities, language, and frameworks used were aligned with the organisations learning philosophy, reinforcing key behaviours and enabling delegates to take insights back to their roles.

The longevity and strength of this relationship reflects our collaborative, adaptive approach. Together, we continue to deliver integrated, high-quality learning experiences that support long-term leadership development and foster continuous growth beyond the four-day event.
